Sail to Christiansø and Öland
We had 10 days to sail this summer (map here), but made it to Christiansø and Öland, and back safely. Christiansø was amazing, it’s an enchanted little rock with it’s own resident Northern Gannet. The Gannet shouldn’t be there, it flew down alone one day from who knows where in the North and stayed. It [...]
Tony, Sunny’s, Neptune
Greetings to Tony, who we met and dragged to Sunny’s, and then on to Neptune. BLTs and milkshakes at 4 a.m., lovely way to end a night.
In memory of Marvin Gaye.
“Take my picture, motherfucker.” There were some other sentiments in there, but the essence was that he wanted me to take a photo, and how.
Randy Dash, looking somber through a not so somber chat to 4 am… Thanks again for the beers, pizza, and bike.
Another from Café NICK, Twelve Pubs again, but 2013/2014. This man only spoke gibberish (to us at any rate).
We sailed to Roskilde for one day of the festival, 80nm, rather far for essentially a weekend sail. But we finally sailed through the night, leaving Copenhagen at 20h30, arriving in Hundested in 10m/s winds at 08h30 the next day. The night was lovely, and uneventful save a massive ship wake that managed to even [...]
This year we sailed to Norway and back over 22 days. Lars the cat was along as well. Some of these are duplicates from the trip blog we managed to keep almost up to date along the way. Too many pictures once again, but it was 22 days after all… The map of where we [...]
A lovely overnight stay with friends in Höör, a little green time and the closest we’ll get to a proper fall day.
Mölle, first sail of the season
First sail of the season, not much wind, but beautiful weather otherwise. We headed for Mölle, arrived late, to get one of the last spots available in the harbor. Boats were stacked ten deep in some cases, we were 8th out, but at least inside the harbor. Others were doubled up to the outside of [...]
A few days at Chautauqua with the family. August, amazing weather, but not enough people for the evening Belle cruise when we tried… another time.
Lars sails to Hallands Väderö
Terrible fog, sea-sick cat, Catherine goes overboard, our first night sail (under duress), and finally, a water spout.
Marie, Sparkmann & Stephens IW 31
We took the keys to this beauty this morning, May 4th! We are seriously out of sorts. Who’s lives are we living? Boat!
Klintholm, first long sail of the season
We finally got to see the chalk cliffs of Møn. It was freezing on the water, the pictures don’t show that. GPX track is here. (must click the picture to get the GPX link for some reason)
Ireland, Sinead and Mike’s wedding
Sinead and Mike’s wedding at Durrow Castle, county Laois, Ireland. A lovely affair which lasted a mere 12 and a half hours, from 2:30 in the afternoon until 5 in the morning.
12 pubs of Christmas
Drinking a pint at each pub (and a Gammel Dansk here or there) does not result in quality pictures. It doesn’t result in much quantity either.
Yes, it’s too many and a lot of odd-balls. Maybe later I’ll split them up and give some actual information as well.
